Permanent Secretary Moses Virivolomo delivered his speech during the Retirees farewell function on 27th May 2021 at the Honiara International Airport.
Mr. Moses Virivolomo acknowledge and congratulate five retired officers being serving the government a total 98 years with dedication and positive contributions to the ministry.
He said that five of these retired officers contribute very much to the Ministry for years they served and this shows their commitment to the government. However, leaving the service for good reasons will create new opportunities for them to venture into their private life. Indeed, their time spent with the ministry add values to the organization with skills and ideas that bring goodness. Their legacy and memories strongly encourage others to strive on the same pathway until they reach their compulsory retirement age.
The management and staff of the Ministry of Communication and Aviation wish them all the best in their endeavour with a farewell song.
Also with recognition of their service to the government, Ministry of Communication and Aviation had prepared gifts to the retired officers with token of appreciation. The Permanent Secretary take the opportunity to present gifts to the officers in the absence of the Hon, Minister.
Honourable Minister, Peter Shanel Agovaka acknowledge our retired officers and make mentioned that the government of the day recognized their service and committed to reward their entitlements for leaving the service and this is a road map to every government officers reaching the compulsory retirements age of 55 years with good reputations and dedications to serve the government and the people of this country. The Honourable Minister strongly encourage those who are now leaving the service to have the courage as this is not the end of their journey in life but they still have a bright future with new hope and plans with God given wisdom and knowledge, managing their own time with passion to success in life.
